About us

During the early 50’s a small Christian community met on Turnpike Road in a vacant garage while the new church was being built on Boundary Road. The sanctuary currently on Boundary Road was finally completed in 1958.

The Methodist and Anglican Church formed an Ecumenical Partnership in November 1992.

In 2001 the green light was given for the revamp and extend of the church.

The sanctuary was destroyed by arsonists in April 2002 leading to many months of fund raising to build the new church on Boundary Road which was completed and re-dedicated on the 3rd of April 2010.

In September 2010, St Christopher’s CofE Primary School was built to accommodate the growing number of children in the village.
